Portmore United and Village United played to an exciting 1-1 draw at Jarrett Park in Montego Bay on Sunday September 28th.  Village, who was the home team, had the better of the first half and opened the scoring after a melee in the area from a free kick.  PMU then turned on the pressure which paid dividends at the death of half time after Eric “Chang” Vernan tapped in a gift from goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts after a misunderstanding between himself and his defender.

The U-21s continued to make mince meat of the opposition with an impressive 3-0 victory over Arnett Gardens at Arnett.  Goals came from Cornelius Henry (12th), Tremaine Stewart (33rd) and national representative James Thomas (53rd).

Rudolph Austin continued on his impressive loan stint with SK Brann in the Norwegian first division.  Playing the full 90, Austin continued to provide stability in the back in his role as the team’s defensive midfielder.  Brann continues its climb back into the top half of the tables after a disastrous start left the defending League champions close to the bottom of the table.
